Job Description

Collaborates with: SF Internal Team, Events Coordinator, Graphic Designer, Internal & External  Website Developer 

 

Core Responsibilities 
Marketing Strategy & Campaigns 
– Develop and execute strategies to build brand awareness across Africa. Run integrated campaigns (digital, social, PR, events) to generate leads. Manage advertising budgets and ensure ROI. 
– Report regularly on campaign performance and conversion metrics. 

 

Lead Generation & Sales Alignment 
– Design and manage lead funnels from interest to customer. 
– Pass qualified leads to Business Development Manager. 
– Collaborate with sales team to align marketing with revenue growth. Identify opportunities for awareness and brand exposure. 

 

Event & Brand Visibility 
– Identify and plan participation in key events, conferences, and exhibitions. Collaborate with Events Coordinator for impactful representation. 
– Position Suitable Focus as a thought leader through activations and workshops. 

 

Team Leadership & Collaboration 
– Lead a marketing team (Events Coordinator, Graphic Designer, Web Developers). Set clear KPIs and ensure accountability. 
– Foster collaboration between marketing and business development functions.

 

Reporting & Analytics 
– Build dashboards to track KPIs (awareness, leads, event impact, digital reach). Provide quarterly reports to CEO and Business Development Manager. Use data insights to refine strategies and improve efficiency. 

 

Brand & Ecosystem Growth 
– Ensure brand consistency across platforms and campaigns. 
– Explore partnerships with media, influencers, and ecosystem builders. Align marketing initiatives with expansion into Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania. 

 

The compensation package is structured in two segments: an initial probationary stage followed  by a permanent stage.  
During the probationary period, the focus is on assessing capability, ensuring alignment with  cash flow, and confirming role fit.  

 

Once probation is successfully completed, the permanent stage reflects market-aligned  compensation for Human Resource (HR) Administrator in Cape Town, recognizing the added  responsibilities and proven performance. This structure provides both a fair entry point and a  clear pathway for growth within the role.

– Growth path: Potential progression into Head of Marketing & Communications within  18–24 months, overseeing regional marketing strategy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational Background 
– Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related  field. 
– Professional certifications in digital marketing, analytics, or brand management (e.g.,  Google Ads, HubSpot, PPC, MailChimp) advantageous but not mandatory.

 

Technical Skills 
– Proficiency in digital marketing tools (Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn  Campaign Manager). 
– Strong knowledge of lead generation funnels, CRM systems, and marketing automation  platforms. 
– Ability to manage advertising budgets and track ROI. 
– Competence in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and analytics dashboards. Familiarity with event management tools and social media scheduling platforms. 

 

Core Competencies 
– Excellent strategic planning and campaign management skills. 
– Strong analytical ability to interpret marketing data and refine strategies. Attention to detail with commitment to consistent brand representation. Ability to manage multiple campaigns, events, and deadlines effectively. 

 

Interpersonal & Communication Skills 
– Clear and persuasive communication with internal teams, external partners, and media  outlets. 
– Strong collaboration skills to align marketing with sales and business development. Ability to lead and motivate a cross-functional marketing team. 
– Skilled in presenting reports and insights to senior leadership. 

 

Experience 
– Minimum 3–5 years in marketing management or campaign leadership roles (especially working in a growing SME environment). 
– Proven experience in digital, social, PR, and event marketing. 
– Track record of lead generation and sales alignment in a growing SME or regional  context. 
– Experience managing teams and coordinating external agencies or partners. Exposure to African markets and ecosystem building is a plus.
